Hello again,
One of the characteristics I most admire in people — and products — is versatility. To me, that's the key to success in this "multi-purpose", "multi-task" and "multi-function" world we live in.

This month I'll look at versatility from a few different angles: some ways to make ourselves more adept in a changing world, an approach to outfitting multi-functional home offices in tight spaces, and a family of chairs from Herman Miller that truly exemplifies the concept of versatility.

Enjoy.

In this day and age, being versatile is one of the most important keys to success (or even just coping!).

Some people think of versatility as being skillful with multiple tools. To me, that's just the inevitable result of what versatility truly is: a thought process.

It's not what you can do, it's how you decide what to do. It is a skill unto itself that needs to be nurtured. Here are some ways I try to go about doing that. Click here for more.

Nothing I've seen in the world of office seating exemplifies versatility better than the Caper Task and Side Chairs from Herman Miller.

It's really easy to see why Caper Chairs have already won several design excellence awards. They're so utterly simple and do so much with so little.
