This is definitely a summer of change. Last month was the big commercial furniture industry trade show (NeoCon) right here in Chicago which saw some phenomenal new thinking from the manufacturers, architects and interior designers. As loyal readers, you get a sneek peek at two remarkable new work chairs about to hit the market.

Every June the furniture industry has its big trade show right here in Chicago. It's called the NeoCon World's Trade Fair. All the manufacturers set up elaborate showrooms brimming with their latest and greatest products. All for the benefit of interior designers, architects and retailers like yours truly.

Although every year is interesting, this year's show was palpably exciting. No kidding. Here's why...

Desks look really spacious when they're empty, don't they? But once you add the phone, an accessory organizer and a PC monitor & keyboard (or even just a laptop), you have precious little room left over. Add couple of stacks of paper and a few Post-It notes and not even the dust can find your desktop.
