The Today Show Spotlights Great Ergonomic Accessories

For the second time this year, products we carry at OfficeDesigns.com were featured on the Today Show. A few months back "Gear Guy" Paul Hochman introduced Katie Couric to the HTT-10 Massage Recliner from Interactive Health.

This time Paul had Al Rokker try out some excellent ergonomic accessories from the hands-down leader in that category: Humanscale. Paul spotlighted the Whale Mouse, the Massage Footrest and the L2 Notebook Manager.

The Whale Mouse

The Whale Mouse takes the stress out of cursor control through an ergonomically superior design that fits your entire hand.

Traditional style mouse designs strain the more delicate hand and wrist muscles by forcing you to grip the mouse between your thumb and little finger.

The whale mouse is designed to fit, and therefore relax, your whole hand. That way the stress of repetitive movement is transferred to the stronger muscles in your arm. It's one of those ingenious ideas that seems so obvious once you you see it.

The ambidextrous design means you southpaws aren't once again left out in the cold.

The Massage Footrest

Humanscale's "Foot Machine" isn't one of those noisy electric foot massagers.

This item is 100% "bio-mechanical." It uses a simple ball bearing roller design to encourage gentle rocking of your feet, in the same way a rocking chair encourages motion.

The subconscious rocking uses most of your lower leg muscles, moving the blood out of the lower legs and back into circulation. Rolling across the ball bearings feels sensational on the various pressure points on the soles of your feet.

Or you can flip it over to the non-roller side and use it as a standard footrest, providing support for the legs and relieving pressure on the lower back.

The height is easily adjustable to give you just the right amount of relief.

The L2 Notebook Manager

Sure, Notebook PCs are perfect for bringing work home with you. And their compact size has made them the PC of choice in countless home offices.

However, since prolonged use of the shrunken keyboard is an ergonomic no-no, Humanscale developed the L2 Notebook Manager.

Now your crystal-clear notebook screen is securely held at your proper eye level and you can work far more comfortably on a full-size keyboard and mouse. Or perhaps a Whale Mouse (sorry, I just couldn't resist that.)

The L2 has a built-in document holder to further reduce neck and eye strain. Humanscale even thought to include a cord manager to keep things suitably tidy on your desk. It fits just about every notebook PC and comes with a lifetime guarantee.

If you're a full-time notebook PC user, you'll be surprised at how big a difference it makes.

If you have any questions about these or other ergonomic accessories, by all means visit our site or give us a call toll-free at 1-877-MY-OFFICE and one of our experts will be happy to assist you.
